NOTE TO PARENT OR GUARDIAN OF CHILD

Cashel Credit Union Limited is obliged by law to prove the true identity and address of any person, including an infant or child, before they can become a member of our credit union.

Where the person is an infant or child, and is unable to give a signature himself / herself, a parent or legal guardian may sign them into membership, provided the infant or child lives within 10 miles of Cashel or is a member of the household of an existing Cashel Credit Union member.

Where a parent is signing the infant or child into membership, the parent must produce evidence of his or her own identification (a current drivers licence or passport usually) and address (a current Cashel Credit Union Statement or Utility Bill), together with the birth certificate of the infant or child.

Where a legal guardian is signing for an infant, he or she must provide all of the above, together with written proof of their legal status in relation to the child.
